Leeds Beckett Students’ Union Volunteering Team continually works together and engages with our University neighbours, local residents, charities and businesses to make students’ experiences in Leeds a great one. A key part of what we do is offer a wide range of events and activities open to all whilst working to improve issues in Leeds.

Through Leeds Beckett Students’ Union we aim to bridge the gap between students and permanent Leeds residents through initiatives that promote positive social change. Many of our students tackle recycling and environmental issues, help refugees, help people living on the streets as well as support local charities and social enterprises.

Do you get involved? Well, you might already be but do you want to make a change that is rewarding and will develop your employability skills and raise your social awareness? We have many projects that you could help to shape and develop that will give you the skills that you need to ensure that you develop yourself personally and professionally.

The Community Committee is a volunteering opportunity where you can make a change and gain valuable leadership and management skills. It will allow you to get tailored support through Leeds Beckett SU, Leeds City Council and local employers.

If you are passionate about environmental issues, student housing, student safety or student wellbeing then this could be for you.

If you would like to apply for a role on the Community Committee then please read the Recruitment Pack for more information on each role and fill out the form below:
