Who we're looking for:

  • IT admin experience  skills or is willing to learn some of the more technical aspects and be upskilled.
  • Experience of working with either e-commerce or booking systems.

Technical information:
This role is a good opportunity for someone to learn something new and benefit themselves. We have an experienced volunteer who is more than happy to give some training/coaching to get to high proficiency levels.

Time requirements: The role would need approximately 5 hours a week of time and would be completely flexible. You wouldn’t necessarily need to come to in person meetings or to the library itself when you were working.

Compensation: We cannot offer compensation but it goes without saying you'd be able to use the library as much as you wanted no matter where you live and borrowing and membership would be free. We will pay for your training to become an electrical PAT tester if necessary. If parts need to be purchased to fix items, please provide receipts and you will be reimbursed the cost of these parts.

Location: Ideally we are looking for someone in LS6 as we would like to build locally community connections and reduce the carbon footprint travelling to volunteering. However, we welcome help from anyone in Leeds.
