Society Mixers for Academic Societies

In the past, the uni ran society mixers which could be run online too and adapted to mix similar academic courses. Encourage the academic societies to organise these as they already have a social scene. SU should facilitate to an extent, societies only need a bit of encouragement from the SU to kick start it.

Thanks for submitting an idea. Student Societies, which are entirely student-led, are already supported and encouraged in the delivery of their events and activities by the Student Activities team at Leeds Beckett SU, however it is ultimately the decision of the Society's elected committee as to whether they hold specific types of event. If there is a particular Society that you would like to hold events of this nature, we would recommend getting in touch with them to share your ideas.
